The Surf Foil World Tour (SFT) is heading to the sun-drenched coast of Sicily for the Water Festival SFT World Cup Sicily, Italy 2025, taking place from May 1–4 in the beautiful town of Isola delle Femmine (PA), just 10 minutes from Mondello.
Following a high-energy event in Leucate, France, this Sicilian stop will mark the 4th stage of the 2025 SFT Pump Foil Tour and the 3rd stop of the SFT E-Foil Tour, making it a crucial mid-season showdown for the world’s top foiling athletes.
Two Disciplines, One Incredible Event
This year’s Water Festival will spotlight two official SFT disciplines:
• SFT E-Foil: Riders glide above the water at high speeds, powered by an electric motor integrated into the board. Precision, flow, and technical creativity define this rapidly growing discipline that mixes power and elegance with cutting-edge technology.
• SFT Pump Foil: Often described as the purest expression of foiling, pump foilers generate lift using only their body movements—no motor, no wind, no paddle. This discipline challenges balance, endurance, and technique, with athletes often pumping across flatwater courses in breathtaking displays of strength and skill.
Both disciplines are part of the official SFT World Rankings, and with the season heating up, the Water Festival is set to be a key battleground in the race for the 2025 titles.

But it’s not just about the competition—this is the Water Festival, after all.
